Job Description

District Manager leading Bagel Brands’ Kansas multi-unit bakery operations. Developing managers, driving sales and profit, and coordinating new store openings.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop General Managers and Area Managers overseeing 7 company-owned stores throughout the Kansas City, KS area.
  • Deliver financial and cultural success for the district.
  • Set and hit goals, develop talent, and create a high-performance, high-fun culture.
  • Develop managers who exceed guest expectations, grow sales, and maximize profit through selection, training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Conduct store visits 2-4 times monthly and use People Planning, Recruiting, Financial Business Reviews, and marketing tools and directives.
  • Ensure stores are adequately staffed with quality Shift Leaders and Assistant General Managers where applicable.
  • Plan succession and recruit/select internal and external General Manager candidates.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, guidance, and career-path support.
  • Monitor and participate in training from new Team Member through District Manager.
  • Manage district Profit and Loss, General and Administration, budgets, and financial trends.
  • Assist General Managers with employee/customer relations, supply chain management, and asset management issues.
  • Follow up on customer and employee complaints and ensure corrective measures.
  • Coordinate timely new store openings.
  • Cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion across development, leadership, and learning.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years of restaurant or retail multi-unit management experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Experience analyzing financial reports (Profit and Loss, Income Statement, etc.).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early hours as 3am depending on the bakery, some nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Post High School education or college degree. (Preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (Preferred)
