Job Description

Field-based District Manager leading AbbVie immunology sales teams across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Developing district sales plans, coaching representatives, and driving commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate commercial activity within in-field teams to increase sales within an assigned geography
  • Create, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan and monitor progress
  • Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets
  • Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results
  • Ensure smooth, collaborative day-to-day and long-term business execution
  • Set the tone and pace for business processes and organization
  • Present market and franchise/business perspectives when leading teams
  • Develop mastery of product, disease-state, and managed-care information
  • Champion in-field meetings
  • Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members
  • Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations
  • Provide direction and insights to key internal partners during business planning
  • Consistently exemplify AbbVie's Ways of Working

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Minimum four years of pharmaceutical sales management experience; external management experience can be considered
  • Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
  • In good standing with safety and compliance standards
  • Currently meeting performance expectations

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas

  • Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements
  • Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required HCIR credentials
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and specific state or city license requirements as applicable
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
