Job Description

Commercial Analysis Manager strengthening Savings portfolio performance through forecasting, pricing, MI and business-case analysis. Supporting strategic decisions and commercial planning for a UK financial services business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support forecasting, pricing and strategic decision-making by developing robust business cases and identifying emerging opportunities and risks
  • Source enhanced MI and deep insights to drive commercial opportunities
  • Influence, manage and optimise the delivery of effective MI
  • Ensure financial performance is understood across the business
  • Collate and review key distribution metrics and analyse performance across the business area
  • Engage with key partners
  • Collect commercial data from relevant teams for business-level reporting
  • Review market share data and deliver analysis
  • Oversee exception reporting and insights
  • Prepare submissions, data and analysis for key stakeholder briefings
  • Provide dashboards showing commercial performance

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering commercial insight, analysis and reporting
  • Comprehensive understanding of the financial services industry
  • Excellent commercial, analytical and financial acumen
  • Complementary skills and experience in commercial performance, finance, pricing or data analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and influence stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and ability to simplify complex and conflicting commercial priorities and communicate them effectively
  • Ability to investigate large, complex data sets to identify anomalies, trends, and root causes
  • Operational and financial planning experience
  • Experience of relevant legal policies, regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management as they impact commercial plans
  • Ability to drive executional excellence in an environment of ambiguity and change
