Job Description
EHR Deployment Specialist supporting federal healthcare EHR modernization, go-live coordination, and incident command operations. Coordinating site readiness and post-deployment stabilization across government healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support PMO Implementation & Deployment go-live coordination and site readiness activities across assigned federal healthcare deployment sites and cohorts
- Assist with site readiness assessments, pre-go-live checklists, readiness reviews, and deployment preparation
- Support incident command and command center operations during go-live events
- Track, escalate, and report real-time operational issues, incidents, risks, and readiness gaps
- Monitor and document go-live activities, incident trends, and stabilization progress
- Coordinate with site leadership, clinical staff, technical teams, implementation partners, and PMO personnel
- Support post-go-live stabilization, operational monitoring, transition-to-sustainment coordination, and stabilization reporting
- Maintain go-live coordination plans, site readiness trackers, incident logs, deployment status reports, and operational summaries
- Participate in coordination meetings, readiness reviews, operational workgroups, and deployment planning sessions
- Prepare go-live status updates, incident summaries, stabilization reports, and deployment briefings for PMO leadership and federal stakeholders
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and related tools for coordination, tracking, documentation, and reporting
- Travel onsite to federal healthcare facilities approximately 25% of the time for go-live events, readiness activities, command center operations, and stabilization efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Health, Management, Health Informatics, or related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of project management experience supporting healthcare IT, EHR deployment, go-live coordination, or related implementation activities
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within or supporting Federal Government programs or similarly regulated environments
- 3–5 years of experience supporting Electronic Health Record implementation, deployment, or go-live activities in a project management or operational coordination capacity
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance
- Ability to travel approximately 25% to support onsite go-live events and deployment activities at federal healthcare facilities
- Demonstrated experience supporting EHR implementation, go-live coordination, deployment readiness, or operational stabilization activities
- Working knowledge of go-live coordination practices, site readiness methodologies, incident command operations, command center processes, and deployment stabilization activities
- Experience tracking and escalating operational issues, deployment risks, readiness gaps, and incident items
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and related project coordination tools
- Ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Preferred experience with Oracle Health Millennium/Cerner, Epic, or other major EHR platforms
- Preferred experience with federal healthcare programs, government healthcare modernization initiatives, or regulated healthcare environments
- Preferred hospital, clinic, or ambulatory healthcare operations experience
- Preferred health informatics or clinical workflow integration experience
- Preferred PMP, ITIL, or related project management certification
- Preferred master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field
