Job Description
Environment, Health and Safety Manager overseeing EHS functions across various locations in Australia. Responsible for program development, compliance, and safety leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the EHS function within the Division and is accountable for delivering the EHS programme and performance.
- Develops and implements an EHS programme that supports the Division and aligns with the overall Energy & Environment International (E&E-I) Operating Model.
- Provides advice and guidance to all employees.
- Ensures client EHS expectations are met or exceeded and best in class ethical and sustainability standards implemented.
- Coach, guide and advise senior functional and operations partners in EHS requirements to meet legislative and regulatory compliance.
- Create a culture of safety leadership by continually striving for EHS excellence.
Requirements:
- A relevant Work Health and Safety qualification to Certificate IV minimum.
- A good working knowledge of project related environmental requirements.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Experience of EHS in construction/infrastructure and project delivery
- Experience as an incident investigator and EHS Auditor.
- Good knowledge and the practical application of Australian WHS legislation.
- Experience of working to ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
- Capable of delivering EHS improvement programmes.
- Competent communicator both written, verbal and presenting at senior management, supervisor and ‘shop floor’ levels
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Security Clearance at NV1 level or be prepared to obtain it.
