Job Description
Estimator preparing takeoffs and bids for a US flooring, cabinetry, and countertop contractor. Coordinating pricing with vendors and subcontractors for multifamily projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review architectural drawings, bid documents, and project specifications
- Perform quantity takeoffs for flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and related scopes
- Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential project requirements
- Prepare accurate, bid-ready pricing proposals
- Calculate material quantities, square footage, and project costs
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Assist with change orders and field coordination when needed
- Work within the client's MeasureSquare CRM and takeoff system
- Communicate directly with the contractor regarding scope, pricing, and bid requirements
- Learn and follow client-specific estimating workflows and processes
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional estimating experience
- Experience with construction estimating, takeoffs, and bid preparation
- Experience with multifamily residential or commercial construction projects
- Strong ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluent English, written and verbal
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and bids simultaneously
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable computer and internet setup
- Willingness to learn and work within the client's software and processes
- Preferred: flooring estimating, cabinetry estimating, countertop estimating, commercial interiors, multifamily residential construction, finishing trades, vendor and subcontractor coordination, and MeasureSquare or similar estimating/takeoff software
