Job Description
Estimator pricing construction projects for Integra’s turnkey data center infrastructure solutions. Preparing budgets, bids, production estimates, and proposals for mission-critical data center builds.
Responsibilities:
- Gather project information and requirements and set priorities
- Perform quantity takeoffs and production estimates
- Evaluate and interpret construction drawings
- Prepare construction budgets by studying plans, updating specifications, and identifying and projecting costs
- Evaluate purchase offers by costing changes, additions, and site requirements
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices
- Maintain cost keys and price masters
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintain quality service according to organizational standards
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs across corporate, division, and local teams
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies
- Coordinate with Project Management to develop proposals
- Coordinate with Construction Management to develop production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequences
- Contribute to team efforts and related results
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred
- Concrete estimating experience required
- Quality focused
- Tilt-up and commercial flatwork experience preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong budget and documentation skills
- Vendor relationship management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus Adobe
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling
- Ability to develop and manage teams
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and make strong decisions
- Current driver’s license
- Travel less than 25%, with potential travel to meetings and job sites as needed
- Must pass physical exam
- Must be a US Citizen
