Job Description
Intern role supporting events and marketing efforts at National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Assisting with logistics, outreach, and data management in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain the NatCon prospects list; conduct market research to identify new exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities; assist with updates to the NatCon sponsorship prospectus; support outreach efforts including cold calls and email follow-ups; track outreach activity and keep records up to date in CRM and internal systems.
- Help registered exhibitors update their company information, logos, and profiles in MapYourShow (event management platform); maintain and update records in MapYourShow; coordinate with marketing/design to collect assets and manage deadlines.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries through shared inboxes and the department phone line in a timely manner.
- Assist with tracking sales progress and pulling basic reports; help ensure data is consistent across CRM, event platforms, and internal systems.
- Provide logistics support for Board Retreat and Annual Conference, including reviewing Food & Beverage orders, working with a Destination Management Company (DMC) on off-site events, marking up floor plans, and building forms in Asana.
- Provide on-site support for conference events, if local to Washington D.C., if needed.
Requirements:
- Current student (completed at least two full-time years of undergraduate study) or a recent graduate (in the last six months) in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Prior experience in hospitality or events preferred.
- Experience or interest in exhibits, sponsorships, and/or tradeshows.
- Familiarity with Asana for project management preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
