Job Description

Field operations associate managing customer inventory and onsite services for Grainger, a broad-line MRO products distributor. Traveling across Saskatchewan customer sites and supporting account growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel up to 200–500 km per day to visit customer sites from the North Battleford, SK area
  • Receive and stock purchased products at designated customer locations
  • Scan orders as inventory is depleted to maintain proper stocking levels
  • Oversee customer inventory locations, ensuring accurate labeling and quantities
  • Resolve customer problems promptly and accurately to retain and promote customer loyalty
  • Comply with Grainger and customer-facility safety and inspection requirements
  • Meet defined KPIs
  • Perform machine break/fix activities at customer sites
  • Plan and execute customer inventory projects
  • Collect accurate inventory data to support KeepStock implementation
  • Assist customers with staging, labeling, and organizing products
  • Complete product relocation and discontinuation processes
  • Perform assigned branch responsibilities
  • Generate new orders by identifying additional product needs and spot-buy opportunities
  • Execute onsite service components of account strategies
  • Work with sales partners to improve customer experience and increase business

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years experience in customer service/selling (i.e., Retail / telephone / warehouse) environment
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and dedication to customer service and sales growth
  • Comfortable with daily use of technology
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers and cross-functional partners
  • Strong judgment and independent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle various technical and operational issues
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Background checks and drug screening may be required
  • May be required to use a personal vehicle with valid insurance meeting Grainger’s standards
  • Ability to attend customer sites and comply with applicable health and safety requirements, including PPE requirements
  • May be required to complete customer alcohol and drug screening procedures
