Job Description

Forensic structural engineer investigating structural failures, defects, and damage for U.S. Forensic. Preparing technical reports and providing expert testimony for commercial, industrial, and residential clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive forensic investigations of structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion and source evaluations, premises liability claims, and roofs
  • Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis
  • Apply engineering principles and practices to analyze and assess structural issues
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Forensic engineering experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Experience with expert testimony in legal proceedings is a plus
  • U.S. Persons Only: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status required due to ITAR export controls
  • Comfortable supporting cases in the Mississippi area and surrounding area
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
