Job Description

Global Quality Manager in Hitachi Energy’s Transformers Business Unit. Ensuring quality and safety standards through comprehensive quality strategies and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and deployment of the Global Product Group (GPG) Quality Strategy
  • Drive global quality programs (e.g., APQP) and support execution of the Business Unit (BU) Quality Improvement Plan
  • Analyze global quality data to identify systemic issues and eliminate root causes
  • Strengthen and evolve the BU/GPG Quality Management System
  • Own and improve production standards, manufacturing documentation, and training
  • Validate new or updated production standards and embed best practices
  • Lead and execute quality and process audits
  • Partner with engineering and technology teams to secure quality in new product introductions

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (MSc/MBA) with strong technical and manufacturing foundations
  • Extensive experience in quality management paired with in‑depth exposure to the transformer business
  • Minimum 8 years in international leadership roles with experience managing global structures
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent) and formal quality/auditor training (ISO or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of quality, project, and change management tools and methods
  • Fluent English and exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills; willingness to travel up to 50%
