Job Description

Google Ads strategist owning DTC and eCommerce accounts end to end. Scaling growth through Search, Shopping, Performance Max, attribution, and client strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a set of DTC accounts as strategist, buyer, and direct client point of contact
  • Manage monthly budgets ranging from $5k to well into six figures
  • Own client relationships, present results and plans, explain reasoning, and answer for account performance
  • Audit campaign and ad group structure, keywords, search terms, negatives, bidding, impression share, feed health, landing pages, audiences, and conversion tracking
  • Create Loom audits for clients
  • Separate brand and non-brand performance and optimize them appropriately
  • Analyze incremental performance, including NC-CPA, NC-ROAS, geo holdouts, and brand-search tests
  • Manage Merchant Center hygiene, product titles, disapprovals, promotions, Shopping, and Performance Max delivery
  • Manage tracking across GA4, GTM, Shopify goal imports, Google Ads tags, enhanced conversions, and offline conversion imports
  • Diagnose and fix bottlenecks involving creative, offers, AOV, landing pages, checkout, or tracking
  • Build landing pages, scripts, reporting, and other tools needed by accounts
  • Communicate directly with clients and own account outcomes end to end

Requirements:

  • Hands-on Google Ads experience with meaningful spend on DTC and eCommerce accounts
  • Demonstrated results involving CPA, ROAS, revenue, and specific optimization changes
  • Experience with Shopping and Performance Max, not only Search
  • Fluency across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, Merchant Center, GA4, and GTM
  • AI-native; must already use Claude or an equivalent working tool
  • Ability to build and ship landing pages using Claude or an equivalent tool
  • Native or near-native English communication skills
  • Ability to explain strategy clearly, present to clients, sell ideas, push back, and proactively raise problems
  • Ability to work US Eastern business hours for client calls
  • Bing experience is a nice to have
  • Bonus: experience building or operating a Shopify store or running Meta at spend
