Job Description
Head of Product Development and Innovation at Javvy Coffee Company. Owning product formulation and leading functional coffee innovation with a focus on taste and consumer feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Own product formulation and innovation end-to-end
- Lead the next generation of functional coffee innovation at Javvy
- Formulate and optimize protein coffee, creamers, matcha, and functional beverages
- Master protein systems (whey, MPI, plant), prebiotics, MCTs, sweeteners, and emulsifiers
- Elevate flavor systems — dessert-inspired, indulgent, competitive with café beverages
- Continuously refine texture, mouthfeel, mixability, and stability
- Translate consumer feedback into rapid product iteration
- Improve COGS without compromising product experience
- Lead co-manufacturers and flavor houses with authority
- Build a scalable innovation pipeline for retail expansion
Requirements:
- Background in Food Science, Food Chemistry, or Sports Nutrition
- Deep understanding of protein markets and functional ingredients
- Strong experience working with flavor houses and building custom systems
- Equally comfortable discussing PDCAAS and dessert flavor notes
- Obsessed with taste, texture, and repeat purchase behavior
- Consumer-obsessed — you study reviews like game tape
