Job Description
Bilingual RN answering clinical inquiries for Maximus’s CDC INFO national contact center. Providing science-based health information via phone, email, and chat.
Responsibilities:
- Support the CDC INFO national contact center, providing science-based health information to the public, healthcare providers, and public health professionals
- Provide advanced clinical inquiry responses verbally and in writing
- Provide medical subject matter expertise
- Perform advanced database searches
- Compose documents, reports, and correspondence
- Document all incoming inquiries
- Participate in special projects as required
- Follow established scripts and protocols, navigate approved resources, and maintain quality and compliance standards
- Provide customer service via phone, email, and chat
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current, active RN license are required
- Must be fluent in English and a specified secondary language
- Experience in a medical, scientific, or public health discipline
- Clinical knowledge of and experience with CDC-related topics
- Proficient internet search skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and utilize software applications
- Excellent listening, comprehension, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to organize simultaneous tasks
- Ability to speak and read English and Spanish clearly, professionally, and fluently
- Call Center or Telehealth experience preferred
- Must have a smartphone for logging into Maximus systems
- Must provide a personal computer, webcam, and headset with microphone
- Tablets, iPads, and Chromebooks are not permitted
- Internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher required, or 50 Mbps for shared connectivity
- Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed
- Hard-wired internet connectivity via Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable
- Private and secure work area and adequate power source
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system, or supported Mac operating systems
