Job Description
HR Generalist ensuring compliance with U.S. labor laws for operational support in the cannabis industry. Managing day-to-day HR operations while supporting compliance with local and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready HR documentation.
- Support internal compliance reviews and audits.
- Assist with employee relations matters from a compliance-first perspective.
- Track regulatory updates and flag potential risks.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, risks, or improvement areas.
- Proactively suggest systems and process improvements to make HR more efficient and scalable.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of HR experience.
- Strong English skills (spoken and written).
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Analytical mindset with interest in data and systems improvements.
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Exposure to **U.S. labor unions or unionized environments** (preferable).
- Solid understanding of U.S. employment law fundamentals (preferable).
