Job Description
HR Payroll Specialist processing German payroll for Sutherland, a digital transformation and business process services company. Managing compliance, exceptions, forecasting, reporting, and audit documentation remotely from Bulgaria.
Responsibilities:
- Process pre-payroll activities in compliance with German labor regulations
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to gather payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain payroll documentation for internal and external audits
- Manage exception processing, including special cases and one-off payments
- Forecast payroll expenses and generate analytical reports for management
- Support mid-year and year-end processes by reconciling time management data and adjusting records
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely submission of required information
- Create regular payroll reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, or a related field
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Experience with German payroll systems
- Strong understanding of relevant German labor regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong focus on accuracy and process improvement
- Strong prioritization skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a supportive team culture
- Understanding of business processes and controls
