Job Description

Implementation Consultant deploying and supporting healthcare screening software for NEC Software Solutions. Managing installations, configurations, testing, customer training, and technical support across UK services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Health Service Delivery Team, responsible for NEC Software Services’ health screening applications
  • Deliver software implementation, project management, consultation, and training services to the screening market
  • Perform regular operations and provide application support for healthcare services
  • Input into the development of existing products and services
  • Liaise with customers and third parties to schedule and manage installations and updates of the Healthcare portfolio
  • Define content for deployment of interfacing projects
  • Define and create system data and configuration for new product installations
  • Make configuration changes to existing customer configurations
  • Provide technical expertise in supporting existing solutions
  • Undertake quality assurance and testing of applications and deployment routines
  • Support customers during deployment of new healthcare services
  • Work outside business hours, including evenings and weekends, to deploy new software releases
  • Travel throughout the United Kingdom as required to liaise with teams and customers
  • Contribute to continual improvement processes for NEC Software Solutions

Requirements:

  • Experience of software installation and support, IT systems, and network management
  • Good technical understanding of operating systems, including Windows servers
  • Good technical understanding of SQL Server
  • Experience using Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Ability to follow and develop operational procedures
  • Previous customer liaison experience
  • Background in software and application maintenance, testing, and deployment
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely
  • Experience using Excel and VBA for manipulating data (desirable)
  • Technical understanding of networking fundamentals (desirable)
  • Experience with JIRA, SSMS, IIS, VMware, and SMTP (desirable)
  • Ability to translate user requirements into a working solution (desirable)
  • Prince2 certification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Agile working methodologies (desirable)
  • Experience of the healthcare market (desirable)
  • Ability to work with limited supervision within own area of responsibility
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to document work clearly and concisely
  • Ability to build working relationships with third-party suppliers and NHS organisations
  • Ability to establish relationships with onshore and offshore Development and QA Teams
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff to translate customer requirements and issues
  • Willingness to challenge and improve existing processes and practices
  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach
  • Ability to multitask and balance customer requirements with internal priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence required
  • Satisfactory vetting, references, and occupational health checks required
  • DBS check may be required depending on the nature of the role
