Job Description

Oncology Medical Affairs Intern supporting Labcorp’s diagnostic testing and precision oncology programs. Reviewing clinical evidence and developing scientific materials with cross-functional healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize clinical evidence
  • Assist in developing scientific materials, presentations, and educational resources for internal and external stakeholders
  • Track scientific congress activities, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback
  • Identify emerging trends relevant to oncology diagnostics and precision medicine
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Research, and Market Access teams
  • Support diagnostic development and implementation initiatives
  • Contribute to special projects advancing organizational objectives
  • Participate in training and development opportunities
  • Apply newly acquired knowledge to assigned responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, PharmD, PhD, or MD program focused on Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Genetics, Pharmacy, or Medicine
  • 3-6 months previous internship, research, clinical, or laboratory experience
  • Preferred: 2 years of undergraduate coursework completed by the start of the internship
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience reviewing scientific literature, conducting research, or analyzing data in an academic or laboratory setting
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience with scientific publications, poster presentations, or medical communications
  • Interest in oncology, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, or Medical Affairs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive scientific and business information
