Job Description

Internal Communications Manager developing internal change communication strategies at Ascension non-profit health system. Collaborating with stakeholders and managing communications content for a deskless workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of comprehensive internal change communication strategies for a primarily deskless workforce to support enterprise-wide change initiatives, serving as a trusted communications advisor to stakeholders throughout all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate closely with external consultants, agencies and internal communications teams to develop and deliver coordinated messaging and campaigns
  • Actively participate in frequent stakeholder and project meetings, balancing multiple priorities and adapting to rapidly shifting demands in an extremely fast-paced, remote-based environment
  • Develop and manage internal communications content, campaigns and events that support operational objectives and reinforce Ascension’s Mission, Vision and Values as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church
  • Maintain flexible availability, including the ability to travel domestically on a periodic, as-needed basis

Requirements:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • 5+ years developing and managing complex internal and change communication plans and review processes
  • Writing and editing engaging and visually appealing communications that simplify complex topics for executive, managerial and associate audiences
  • Proven relationship builder with strong influencing skills and the ability to collaborate and gain alignment across matrixed organizations.
