Job Description
Epic Clinical Informatics Trainer delivering and optimizing EMR training for Carle Health. Supporting new hires, Super Users, departmental leaders, and Meaningful Use compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Epic training to new Carle hires
- Provide individual Epic optimization assistance
- Collaborate with the IT Build Team during design, build, and validation processes
- Design training plans and learning objectives based on role, discipline, and workflows
- Develop Epic training environments, participant materials, and exercises
- Plan, schedule, and implement training
- Provide post-training follow-up support
- Evaluate and measure training results
- Provide specialized training and tools for departmental Super Users
- Serve as a resource for Super Users and departmental leaders regarding EMR applications and Go-Lives
- Provide training, tools, and materials to support Meaningful Use compliance
Requirements:
- Epic Certification - EPIC
- Illinois driver's license issued by the Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technologies, Education, or a related field
- Experience in lieu of education is accepted
- Work experience in learning and development
- Ability to orient providers, RNs, MAs, PSRs, and other users to Epic electronic medical record applications
- Ability to educate users on application upgrades and changes
- Ability to train and support departmental Super Users
- Ability to provide performance consulting for optimal use of Epic applications
