Job Description
IT Operations Project Manager at Metronet overseeing technology projects across infrastructure and cloud. Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile Scrum and traditional methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Leading end-to-end project management for infrastructure, cloud, and database initiatives
- Facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies
- Applying traditional project management techniques such as project charter development
- Managing and maintaining JIRA project boards, backlogs, epics, stories, and sprint configurations
- Collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, and database teams
- Identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Coordinating resource planning and task assignments across technical teams
- Producing and distributing regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- At least 3 years of project management experience with a focus on technology projects
- Demonstrated proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology
- Strong working knowledge of traditional project management frameworks (Waterfall, PMBOK)
- Advanced proficiency in JIRA
- Familiarity with computer infrastructure concepts
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- General understanding of database environments and database-related project considerations
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
