Job Description
Project Manager leading large-scale healthcare payer platform implementations for Centene. Managing cross-functional delivery, budgets, resources, risks, and clinical workflow modernization.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, monitor, oversee end-to-end execution, and deliver platform implementations optimizing utilization management, prior authorization, and clinical workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to deliver defined requirements and meet company strategic objectives
- Manage the full project life cycle, including requirements assessment, project plans and schedules, resource management, budgeting, execution, deployment, and closure
- Utilize corporate and industry-standard project management tools and techniques
- Establish and maintain corporate project management methodology and department procedures
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and external agencies
- Negotiate with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings to meet stakeholder expectations and company objectives
- Provide functional and technical knowledge across multiple business and technical areas
- Manage creation of project deliverables, including design documents, test plans, training materials, and operations documentation, ensuring quality standards
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of project management experience with departmental specific projects
- Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff
- Proficient with MS-Office applications
- Healthcare and managed care experience preferred
- Understanding of Agile methodology preferred
- Experience with payer core platforms, UM/CM, clinical workflow or other major healthcare platforms highly preferred
