Job Description
Senior Project Manager owning delivery, QA and project processes for Rumor’s venture studio projects. Coordinating international clients, agencies and distributed teams across time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Own delivery on primary projects and ventures across multiple departments
- Act as the CEO's right hand on primary projects and maintain visibility into project status
- Run programmes from planning to launch while managing scope, timeline, budget and quality
- Coordinate internal designers, developers and partners to keep work moving in sequence
- Identify risks and delays early, resolve them and escalate with clear recommendations
- Perform QA on websites, mobile apps, forms, booking flows, email flows and integrations
- Test across devices and browsers, check responsiveness, validate routing and automation logic, and track bugs through resolution
- Maintain clear communication channels between clients, Rumor and departments
- Write status updates, weekly reports, meeting notes, scope documents and decision logs
- Establish and improve the project management system, QA checklists, release process and reporting rhythm
- Contribute ideas on product, growth and operations
- Run secondary projects and ventures as the portfolio grows
Requirements:
- 6 to 8 years of project management experience on complex web and app projects, in a venture studio, agency or product team
- Experience delivering for international clients across time zones
- Amazing written and verbal communication in English
- Technically sound understanding of how high-end websites and apps are built
- Ability to read a technical specification and discuss architecture with developers
- Comfortable with any technology or stack
- Proven record of shipping high-end, performance-optimised websites and apps that are live and demonstrable
- Command of Slack, Figma, Linear, GitHub and similar tools
- Experience with staging and release workflows and performance tooling such as Lighthouse
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, Agile and Scrum
- Hands-on QA experience, including web and mobile testing, responsive and cross-browser checks, bug tracking and acceptance testing
- Proven experience with senior, non-technical stakeholders, external agencies and distributed teams
- Availability from 3:00–4:00 pm IST through European business hours into the Los Angeles morning
- Experience in healthcare, medtech or other regulated industries, including GDPR, is a bonus
- Experience with WordPress and React is a bonus
- Track record of building QA processes and delivery workflows from scratch is a bonus
- Familiarity with technical documentation and release management is a bonus
