Job Description
Junior Project Manager implementing finance software for German municipalities and churches. Supporting digital administration projects while progressing toward project leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for implementing software solutions for financial accounting and related processes at public-sector administrations and churches
- Ensuring project objectives are achieved in terms of quality, timelines, and budget
- Coordinating stakeholders at all levels
- Organizing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing
- Working closely with customers, internal project teams, and external service providers
- Ensuring project documentation is maintained and regularly reporting on project progress
- Managing requirements and conducting risk analyses
- Deriving and implementing appropriate measures
- Starting as a Consultant with intensive onboarding and gradually preparing to take on project management responsibility
Requirements:
- Completed degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, ideally with a focus on financial accounting
- Initial experience leading IT or software projects
- Industry experience in municipal administration is a plus
- Knowledge of financial accounting and municipal budgeting processes is a plus
- Knowledge of project management methods, both traditional and agile; certification such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master is an advantage
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Structured, solution-oriented approach to work
- Empathy when working with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland
- Business-fluent German
