Job Description
Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer supporting cloud implementation and architecture at Humana. Collaborating with teams to innovate and manage cloud services and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure
- Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial
- Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture
- May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions
- Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions
- Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements
- Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance
- Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8 or more years of progressive IT experience as a senior engineer in large IT projects
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking)
- Strong background in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Demonstrated experience leading cloud engineering teams or projects
- Strong ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
- Experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
