Job Description
Lead ERP and accounting implementations for Datacor’s process-manufacturing software customers. Configure financial integrations, validate inventory costing, and support customer go-lives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead customer installation, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support for Datacor Animal Nutrition products at customer sites and remotely
- Partner with Delivery Managers to execute project plans, meet milestones, and manage scope across concurrent implementations
- Analyze customer business processes and advise on system configuration, workflow design, and process optimization
- Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare, including opening-balance loads, cutover inventory counts, and first-close support
- Design and configure chart of accounts mapping, GL posting accounts, account segmentation, and integrations between mill operations and financial systems
- Configure and validate inventory costing methodologies, cost roll-ups, variance accounts, and work-in-process treatment
- Set up and test AR, AP, and GL integration points, including batch posting, distribution accuracy, and error handling
- Validate that manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and billing transactions produce correct financial results
- Lead reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger during parallel testing
- Advise on pricing, contract, freight, discount, and tax configuration and downstream accounting impact
- Deliver end-user and administrator training for operational and financial workflows
- Develop and maintain training documentation, user guides, configuration workbooks, and knowledge-base materials
- Troubleshoot configuration, process, and data-related issues and communicate clearly with customers
- Share implementation insights with delivery and support teams to improve methodology
- Manage multiple engagements and complete time entries, status updates, TaskRay records, and recap documentation accurately and on time
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, such as staff/senior accountant, cost accountant, assistant controller, or controller
- Demonstrated depth in inventory accounting and valuation, cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, general ledger management, or AR/AP operations
- 3+ years of ERP experience as an end user, implementation consultant, or both
- At least one full-cycle implementation or major system conversion
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of how operational transactions, production, inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and billing translate into financial entries
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and its Financials, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales Order Processing modules
- Preferred: background in agriculture, feed milling, food manufacturing, or another process/batch manufacturing environment
- Preferred: experience with Datacor Animal Nutrition products, including Feed Mill Manager, Pennent Mill Manager, Brill, ARA, and Feed Tags
- Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and basic SQL for data validation and reconciliation
- Preferred: experience with data migration, opening balance conversion, or parallel testing
- Preferred: CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification
- Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel
- Preferred: proficiency with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
