Job Description

Legal Assistant supporting a remote legal team by managing communications, drafting documents, and ensuring case efficiency. Join Job Duck for a meaningful role in a dynamic legal setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft legal forms, documents, and correspondence for attorney review.
  • Open and close client files, ensuring proper transfer between Clio Grow and Clio Manage.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned by attorneys or paralegals.
  • Copy, scan, and file records; maintain filing systems and upload files into Clio.
  • Communicate with clients via email, phone, or in person to obtain information or relay updates.
  • Coordinate with legal servers to file physical documents.
  • Schedule case events and manage the firm’s master calendar.
  • Proofread all prepared work before submission to paralegals or attorneys.
  • Handle electronic filing with the court and related communications.
  • Enter deadlines and reminders into Clio and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working as a legal assistant.
  • Family law knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in billing worked hours is highly appreciated.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Clio Grow and Clio Manage required.
  • Familiarity with GoTo Meeting, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
