Job Description
Legal Assistant supporting a remote legal team by managing communications, drafting documents, and ensuring case efficiency. Join Job Duck for a meaningful role in a dynamic legal setting.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal forms, documents, and correspondence for attorney review.
- Open and close client files, ensuring proper transfer between Clio Grow and Clio Manage.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned by attorneys or paralegals.
- Copy, scan, and file records; maintain filing systems and upload files into Clio.
- Communicate with clients via email, phone, or in person to obtain information or relay updates.
- Coordinate with legal servers to file physical documents.
- Schedule case events and manage the firm’s master calendar.
- Proofread all prepared work before submission to paralegals or attorneys.
- Handle electronic filing with the court and related communications.
- Enter deadlines and reminders into Clio and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience working as a legal assistant.
- Family law knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in billing worked hours is highly appreciated.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or relevant professional certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Clio Grow and Clio Manage required.
- Familiarity with GoTo Meeting, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
