Job Description
Legal expert reviewing AI-generated responses and legal content for accuracy. Supporting Mercor's AI research and frontier model training through professional legal expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses for legal accuracy and quality
- Answer domain-specific questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback
- Help identify useful reference material relevant to the legal field
- Share insight into legal professionals' tools, workflows, and standards
- Collaborate with a small group of subject-matter experts across different fields
- Support AI research and development by helping train and enhance AI systems
Requirements:
- Admitted to a United States state bar
- 2+ years of professional legal experience
- Ideally, experience spanning more than one practice area, such as contracts, litigation, regulatory/compliance, corporate, or IP
- Comfortable researching and writing with case law databases, statutes, treatises, and standard legal tools and references
- Comfortable using everyday AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar
- Based in the United States
- Professional working English
- Able to commit reliably to approximately 10 hours per week
- Legal librarian background is a plus, but not required
- Experience writing or publishing legal content is a plus, including memos, briefs, or CLE materials
- Must not require H-1B or STEM OPT sponsorship
