Job Description
CVS Health legal counsel negotiating pharmacy benefit contracts for employer plan sponsors. Advising sales and business teams on healthcare regulations and client contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pharmacy benefit contracts with employer plan sponsor clients
- Support sales teams on new business initiatives
- Provide advice to business colleagues on day-to-day matters
- Collaborate with colleagues throughout the Legal department
- Collaborate with government affairs, regulatory affairs, client audit and underwriting departments
- Communicate with PBM clients, benefit consultants and attorneys
Requirements:
- Actively practicing attorney with 5+ years demonstrated experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting
- Experience with healthcare or other regulatory matters
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts and/or interacting with government regulators or agencies with respect to healthcare matters
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state and in good standing
- Ability to travel up to 5% (including by plane)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
- Experience in a PBM or health plan/insurer environment
- Experience in litigation or dispute resolution
- Experience managing and/or collaborating with outside counsel
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Juris Doctor (JD) required
