Job Description
Accounting manager overseeing revenue-cycle accounting, financial reporting, controls, and audits. Supporting NextGen Healthcare’s technology platform for ambulatory practices.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct the accounting activities of the department
- Provide oversight of general ledger accounts and financial statements
- Prepare reports for upper management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
- Manage month-end closing processes and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities
- Oversee production of periodic financial reports
- Ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Audit accounts for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate with outside auditors and provide information for the annual external audit
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or any combination of education and experience providing the required qualifications
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- 3+ years of management experience
- Experience with SAP / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Management, time management, research, detail orientation, analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines
