Job Description
Manager, Quality Analytics driving data-driven decision-making within Vertex Pharmaceuticals' Quality Assurance team. Requires expertise in Power BI, Snowflake and quality data analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from various sources, including Power BI and Snowflake.
- Lead the active management of metrics programs and quality data analytics activities.
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Create ad-hoc data models, reports, and analyses to support business requirements.
- Leverage technical and analytical expertise to identify critical business opportunities and generate actionable insights.
- Continuously explore and evaluate new methods to enhance the use of data analytics for value creation.
- Acquire and model data from primary and secondary sources.
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to optimize ongoing visualizations.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Develop descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to derive insights from data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or allied health field (or equivalent degree)
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in a management role
- Demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable insights for decision-making
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Understanding of industry requirements and expectations for Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Current knowledge of industry trends and best practices for quality management in regulated environments.
- Expertise in building Power BI dashboards and working with Snowflake data tables
- Proficiency in data modeling and analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, and Alteryx
- Advanced data visualization skills using tools like Spotfire, Power BI, and Tableau
- Experience with scripting languages and leveraging APIs (e.g., REST APIs)
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts effectively.
