Job Description
Marketing & Communications Manager creating digital content and campaigns for NatureServe's marketing efforts. Collaborating with teams to support product sales and conservation outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the content calendar across digital channels including web, social media, email, and campaigns
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns aligned with NatureServe's strategic priorities and program goals
- Translate complex scientific content into accessible, compelling narratives, including impact stories drawn from program teams, Network Partners, and conservation outcomes, for general and professional audiences
- Lead social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, and Facebook
- Manage NatureServe's website, including ongoing content updates, SEO strategy, and user experience improvements
- Develop marketing collateral, one-pagers, pitch materials, and campaign assets to support audience-specific outreach, product sales and donor engagement
- Track and report on digital marketing KPIs; provide regular performance updates to the VP
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or marketing communications
- Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to translate technical or scientific content for diverse audiences
- Experience supporting sales or business development through marketing including campaign management, CRM administration, and email marketing
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (Drupal preferred), Google Analytics, SEO tools, and social media management platforms
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp (preferred) or similar and CRM systems such as Salesforce and Civi (preferred) or HubSpot
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment
- Genuine interest in biodiversity, conservation, or science communication
