Job Description
CareSource Medicare sales representative supporting Medicare Advantage enrollment across Youngstown, Akron, and Cleveland areas. Conducting community outreach, presentations, and territory sales.
Responsibilities:
- Support sales strategy and enrollment goals for the Medicare Advantage product line within an assigned territory
- Develop educational and enrollment opportunities with aging agencies, senior resources, associations, faith-based organizations, and senior advocates
- Conduct presentations, marketing activities, and educational events in compliance with approved programs and regulations
- Assist with community outreach strategies and programs
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CareSource’s Medicare Advantage products, Medicare, and industry insights
- Act as liaison between CareSource Health Plan and the community
- Communicate product choices accurately to Medicare beneficiaries during enrollment
- Meet and exceed monthly sales goals
- Build and maintain strategic relationships to support sales success
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining reports and database systems
- Meet customer expectations while balancing business requirements
- Travel regularly to community events, presentations, and sales meetings
- Work as a mobile worker across different locations and may stand or sit for extended periods
- Use general office equipment and serve members during flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree in business, healthcare or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience preferred
- Medicare or Medicaid sales experience, or other commercial sales insurance experience required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a sales or account management role in the insurance industry required
- Advanced use of Relationship Management (CRM) system and Sales Activity Reporting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent computer, tablet, and cell phone skills
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements and marketing guidelines
- Current, unrestricted Insurance License in Accident and Health within assigned territory required, or ability to achieve license within 30 days of hire
- Current Medicare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (MFWA) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Successful driver’s license record check
- Annual influenza vaccination during influenza season as a condition of continued employment
- Reside in the same territory assigned to work, with exceptions potentially considered due to business need
- May travel greater than 50% of the time
- Valid driver’s license, car, and insurance necessary for work-related travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to sell new products to existing customers
- Deep and broad understanding of products, services, and solutions
- Bilingual preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, listening, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to develop, prioritize, and accomplish goals
- Time and territory management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
