Job Description

U.S. Bank merchant payments sales manager developing small-business opportunities across Northwest Illinois. Building sales pipelines, executing merchant strategies, and partnering with banking teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and manage a pipeline of opportunities with companies under $2.5M in revenue
  • Execute targeted merchant sales strategies and successful campaigns
  • Report on activity and progress toward objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and bank partners
  • Develop business through self-sourced prospecting and partnerships with Business Banking Specialists and Branch colleagues
  • Focus sales efforts on the small business environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant sales experience
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory
  • Strong sales acumen and pipeline management
  • Deep knowledge of payment processing and merchant services
  • Experience with Salesforce and POS systems
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of achievement, motivation, and integrity
  • Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Ability to comply with applicable regulatory requirements, which may include FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, the NFA, the FCPA, the Bank Secrecy Act, the SAFE Act, and/or federal guidelines
