Job Description
Mortgage Branch Manager leading Texas mortgage originators for U.S. Bank. Driving mortgage production, recruiting talent, coaching teams, and building partnerships across banking and real-estate channels.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Mortgage Regional Manager in leading and managing Mortgage Loan Originators to achieve production goals, operational excellence, growth, and regional profitability
- Maintain a personal pipeline of retail mortgage loans
- Recruit, interview, and train talent
- Proactively retain current employees and manage performance
- Participate in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations
- Maintain thorough knowledge of mortgage industry issues
- Communicate business goals, objectives, and company performance results to staff
- Promote an effective sales environment through sales training, individual and team coaching, and creation of marketing materials
- Act as liaison between U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other company departments and areas
- Establish collaborative partnerships with other U.S. Bank business lines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two or more years of experience as a Retail Mortgage Loan Originator
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Completion of the NMLS registration process, including a criminal background and credit check
- Must maintain satisfactory criminal and credit records for NMLS registration
- Expert knowledge of sales and sales strategies
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed customer service/relations skills
- Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
- Thorough knowledge of mortgage products/services, operations, and current market trends
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
- Ability to satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements
