Job Description

National accounts manager growing multifamily housing sales for HD Supply, a North American industrial distributor. Managing strategic accounts, contracts, business plans, and customer relationships across Georgia and Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow an established portfolio of multifamily housing accounts
  • Develop new business and acquire account opportunities
  • Build relationships with targeted national accounts
  • Create, execute, and communicate business plans to increase sales and profitability
  • Strategically plan customer visits, perform presentations, offer innovative programs, and communicate plans
  • Research competitive strengths and develop strategies to acquire competitive business
  • Develop and execute profitable plans for existing and newly acquired accounts
  • Negotiate national contracts and rebate programs
  • Collaborate with sales and corporate personnel on account plans, pricing, and sales support
  • Participate in local and national trade associations and conferences
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
  • May oversee projects and assignments and contribute to employees' professional development

Requirements:

  • Must reside in Georgia or Florida
  • National Account Management experience
  • 5 or more years of B2B field sales experience
  • Direct industry experience
  • Sales and contract negotiation experience
  • Experience with large-volume product lines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Experience with consultative selling/solution selling preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote position
  • Must operate a personal vehicle consistently for more than 20% of the average work week
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report required
  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline
  • Typically requires 5–8 years of experience in a related field, or an MS/MA and 3–5 years of experience
  • Certification is required in some areas
  • Ability to travel overnight more than 50% of the time
