Job Description
National Accounts Manager driving sales initiatives and introducing new products at Smithfield Foods. Collaborating across functions to maintain and expand national chain accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Introduce and place new products with customers
- Execute organizational initiatives and drive sales on key items
- Maintain and expand national chain accounts
- Collaborate closely with marketing, business, and trade teams
- Develop and manage broker relationships
- Ensure flawless execution of sales initiatives in retail or foodservice
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 8+ years’ relevant experience in retail or foodservice meat trade
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership
- Strong understanding of the dynamics of the food business industry or retail channels
- Demonstrated experience of customer-focused and fact-based selling
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
