Job Description

National Accounts Manager driving sales initiatives and introducing new products at Smithfield Foods. Collaborating across functions to maintain and expand national chain accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and place new products with customers
  • Execute organizational initiatives and drive sales on key items
  • Maintain and expand national chain accounts
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, business, and trade teams
  • Develop and manage broker relationships
  • Ensure flawless execution of sales initiatives in retail or foodservice

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in retail or foodservice meat trade
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership
  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of the food business industry or retail channels
  • Demonstrated experience of customer-focused and fact-based selling
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
