Job Description

NOC Technician responsible for monitoring and maintaining network infrastructures. Handling incidents and providing support in a fully remote role during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network performance and system alerts using various monitoring tools.
  • Respond to network incidents and outages, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine network maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Document network incidents, resolutions, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network support.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a NOC or similar network support role.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Auvik, or similar.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
