Job Description
On-call psychiatry Medical Science Liaison providing evidence-based product information and field medical support. Supporting schizophrenia-focused inquiries, congresses, and medical affairs projects.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from physicians, pharmacists, nurses, other healthcare professionals, consumers, and payers
- Identify, research, and critically evaluate medical literature to create responses to medical information inquiries
- Handle requests across phone, email, CRM, chat, and other channels
- Assess what information needs to be obtained and the appropriate depth of information to collect
- Ensure good documentation, high quality, and excellent customer service
- Support the field medical team with occasional field engagements
- Provide MSL and field medical support at medical congresses
- Staff scientific medical affairs booths
- Conduct market and competitive product research
- Contribute to operational and process improvements, field team training, and field liaison support
Requirements:
- Advanced or terminal healthcare degree (preferred PharmD or PhD)
- MSL psychiatry experience preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Hands-on experience in psychiatry
- Technology proficiency in Medical Information databases, Microsoft Office, and video conference platforms
- Therapeutic expertise in psychiatry, with a focus on schizophrenia
- Ability to critically evaluate medical literature
- Experience in Drug Information or a specialty area, particularly in schizophrenia or other psychiatric conditions
- Must be located on the West Coast
