Job Description
Online Computer-Aided Design professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students at DeVry University. Developing courses, assessments, and technology-enhanced learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer-Aided Design
- Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
- Prepare, organize, and regularly revise course materials
- Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting
- Ensure exams align with course objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Master’s degree required
- 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
- Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
- Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
- Additional requirements may apply due to state licensing or accreditation considerations
- Requisite subject matter expertise
- Outstanding communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
