Job Description
Payments Manager running daily multi-currency payment operations for MAKE’s creator-focused banking platform. Improving payment reliability, integrations, routing, settlement and operational controls.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage daily payment operations across multiple currencies, payment methods and banking partners
- Monitor payment flows, investigate failed or delayed transactions and resolve operational issues
- Manage relationships with banks, payment service providers and payment processors, ensuring strong operational performance
- Drive improvements in payment success rates, processing times, transaction costs and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to launch new payment methods, integrations and payment corridors
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve payment routing and reduce operational risks
- Work closely with Treasury, Reconciliation, Risk and Compliance to resolve payment and settlement issues
- Monitor payment KPIs, manage incidents and continuously improve operational processes and controls
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in payments operations, banking or payment processing, ideally within fintech or a payment service provider
- Strong understanding of payment systems, including SWIFT, SEPA, ACH and international payment rails
- Experience working with banking partners, payment processors and payment service providers
- Solid knowledge of payment lifecycles, clearing, settlement, reconciliation and payment investigations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cross-border payments, multicurrency accounts and payment orchestration
- Knowledge of API-based payment integrations, payment routing and automation
- Familiarity with crypto payments, stablecoins or fiat-to-crypto settlement
- Experience with SQL, payment analytics or reporting tools
