Job Description
Veterinary pharmaceutical sales representative growing animal-health product sales across Central California. Building veterinary and distributor relationships while mentoring sales peers and expanding market share.
Responsibilities:
- Meet sales objectives and quotas for key growth products through demand generation within the assigned territory
- Launch new products and defend legacy products
- Build and demonstrate technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
- Build relationships with and service targeted hospitals and personnel to maintain and grow account relevance and access
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan and resource allocation strategy to maximize ROI
- Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and investment in medical education programs
- Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles to meet reach and frequency expectations
- Leverage CRM tools to enhance customer relationships
- Lead by example and mentor the sales team while driving sales objectives, goals, and targets
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Sales, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of sales experience in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience calling on and managing distributor accounts
- Experience managing a geographically large sales territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Advanced experience using CRMs to drive sales
- Must reside within the assigned territory
- Up to 90% travel
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must meet employment eligibility requirements verified through E-Verify in the United States
