Job Description
Pre-Sales Specialist for Data Meaning leading analytics solutions and client engagements. Aiding in technical decisions and creating customer-specific solutions using Alteryx for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales Executives to provide deep technical pre-sales support to qualified opportunities
- Conduct bespoke discovery and architecture sessions with client stakeholders
- Create and deliver compelling proof-of-concept (POC) workflows and use case demonstrations
- Develop professional services scope documents and implementation roadmaps
- Maintain mastery of Alteryx Designer, Server, and Cloud platforms
- Conduct competitive analysis and vendor evaluations
- Research emerging technologies and integration patterns (AI, cloud platforms, workflow orchestration)
- Contribute to internal knowledge base, case studies, and sales enablement materials
- Mentor junior consultants and new team members on pre-sales expertise and client-facing skills
- Conduct peer reviews of POC workflows and architectural designs
- Lead internal training sessions on new platform capabilities and methodologies
- Support transition from pre-sales to implementation, ensuring technical continuity
- Participate in training delivery and knowledge transfer workshops
- Provide hands-on technical support during critical project phases when needed
- Act as a trusted technical advisor post-sale to strengthen relationships and identify expansion opportunities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of data analytics or business intelligence consulting
- Pre-sales or sales engineering experience in enterprise software
- Experience delivering POCs and technical evaluations
- Remote work experience and self-directed work habits
- Alteryx Designer Core Certification
- Alteryx Designer Advanced Certification
- Alteryx Server Administration Certification
- Alteryx Server Implementation Certification
- Python or R programming experience preferred
- SQL and database design knowledge preferred
- Cloud data platform experience (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) preferred
- Power BI, Tableau, or other BI/visualization platforms preferred
