Job Description

Print Design Assistant at Shinesty helping with artwork systems and creative concepts. Seeking someone organized and proactive in a fast-moving design environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the print design team by managing artwork systems
  • Preparing CADs and organizing design files
  • Helping bring creative concepts to life
  • Ensuring design process runs smoothly during print reviews and product development cycles
  • Maintain seasonal Figma design boards
  • Ensure CADs and concepts are accurate, updated, and ready for review
  • Clearly communicate updates and tag team members when work is ready for sign-off
  • Update CADs based on creative direction
  • Create colorway variations
  • Build repeat patterns
  • Reduce color counts when needed
  • Help build and maintain Shinesty's print archive/catalog
  • Save and export final artwork files with correct artwork codes and properly proportioned CAD bodies
  • Support internal creative organization systems
  • Pull visual references and inspiration imagery
  • Generate AI-assisted concept explorations
  • Mock up simple product ideas for products such as socks, hats, tees, and underwear
  • Prepare CAD exports for line sheets and catalogs
  • Ensure correct artwork is ready for wholesale materials
  • Partner with Merchandising to maintain accuracy of all catalog and wholesale materials

Requirements:

  • Expert-level Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of pattern repeats
  • Ability to reduce color counts and prep artwork for production
  • Strong file organization skills and attention to system structure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong visual taste and design judgment with an ability to recognize brand-right artwork
  • Ability to maintain design integrity while preparing files for production
  • Design portfolio or examples of relevant work
  • Helpful but not required
  • Experience with Figma
  • Basic Photoshop
  • Familiarity with AI tools for reference gathering or concept exploration
  • Experience in apparel or print design
