Job Description

Product Development Manager accelerating Puracy’s plant-based cleaning and personal care launches. Managing formulation, packaging, suppliers, commercialization, and retail execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of current product development lifecycles and ensure critical milestones are met from formulation approval to final production
  • Partner with operations to monitor project budgets and product costing and ensure products meet established margin targets
  • Drive final selection and approval of raw materials and packaging
  • Manage relationships with contract manufacturers, formulators, fragrance houses, and packaging suppliers to prevent delays
  • Ensure pipeline products comply with relevant federal, state, and industry regulations, including EPA, Safer Choice, and EWG requirements
  • Coordinate daily with Brand, Operations, Regulatory/Legal, Creative, and Retail teams
  • Manage and update project timelines for on-time product launches
  • Identify roadblocks and execute immediate solutions to mitigate risks
  • Oversee final commercialization stages, including manufacturing readiness, quality control checks, content completion, and handover to the scale team

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Product Development, R&D, Product Management, Operations, Buying, or a related function within CPG
  • Hands-on experience developing and launching consumer products from concept through commercialization
  • Experience in cleaning, household goods, beauty, or personal care strongly preferred
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, formulators, packaging suppliers, or other product development partners
  • Working knowledge of formulation, ingredients, packaging development, and product commercialization
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects with tight timelines
  • Strong understanding of US consumer product and retail environments
  • Experience with sustainable packaging, natural/plant-based formulations, or environmentally focused brands is a plus
  • Familiarity with retailer requirements and documentation for Walmart, Target, or Amazon is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Comfortable working independently and stepping into an established team and workflow with minimal ramp-up
