Job Description

Product Manager shaping billing and finance products for Remote’s global employment and HR platform. Guiding strategy, roadmaps, iterative delivery, and cross-functional solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and guide the strategy for a key product area in Finance
  • Work with cross-functional engineering and design groups to identify important problems and shape iterative solutions
  • Build solutions for finance, billing, and other financial services at Remote
  • Own the end-to-end experience across human-powered services and software
  • Lead complex solutions autonomously
  • Manage internal expectations for complex projects, products, and features
  • Build an effective roadmap and strategy for the Finance product area
  • Break strategic plans into near- and mid-term goals
  • Align the product roadmap with department and company problems
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the product area
  • Contribute to scaling and growth plans
  • Ship improvements quickly and iteratively
  • Support a high-throughput, high-ROI product team
  • Understand business KPIs and align team work and metrics to improve them
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders
  • Share techniques, processes, and learnings across the Product organization
  • Communicate and promote the team’s work to customers and internal teams
  • Work asynchronously and transparently
  • Contribute to tactical and strategic decision-making

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a product manager in billing, invoicing, or similar, ideally at a high-growth company
  • Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code or similar AI coding tools
  • Ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional prototypes or small code changes using AI tooling
  • Strong strategic and tactical product judgment
  • Demonstrable, self-driven results that moved a product in the right direction
  • Passion for creating seamless and effective products for complex challenges
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills across departments
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken
  • Experience working in a remote environment is a bonus
  • Ability to work autonomously on simple features and iterations and solve complex problems with limited support
