Job Description

Product Manager transforming utility and building-energy data into sustainability products for Entrata’s AI-powered property-management platform. Owning benchmarking, ESG reporting, and performance-standards workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product path turning utility and building energy data into trustworthy sustainability outcomes
  • Lead capabilities for benchmarking, performance standards readiness, audit and RCx report workflows, green energy understanding, and defensible reporting
  • Work closely with Utility Operations / Utility Expense Management product and engineering teams
  • Speak with sophisticated customers every week
  • Ship capabilities that reduce manual ESG fire drills and create a durable growth lane for Entrata Utilities

Requirements:

  • Deep sustainability / ESG literacy in the built environment
  • Ability to explain and apply Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 concepts and calculations
  • Fluency in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager benchmarking requirements
  • Familiarity with Building Performance Standards, energy audits, and Retrocommissioning reports
  • Understanding of green energy / renewable procurement concepts, including RECs, green tariffs, and on-site generation
  • Familiarity with GRESB, SASB, CRREM, LEED, and local benchmarking ordinances
  • Product management experience in B2B, proptech, or utilitytech, including discovery, prioritization, requirements, acceptance criteria, release readiness, and engineering partnership
  • Multifamily or commercial real estate utility domain awareness
  • Strong working knowledge of GHG Protocol-style Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 concepts
  • Direct multifamily or commercial real estate operator / owner experience
  • GRESB or SASB reporting and document creation experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in product management (or equivalent ownership) for B2B SaaS, proptech, utilitytech, or closely related domains OR 5+ years in sustainability/energy consulting with clear evidence of shipping software products
  • Experience with utility billing, submetering, vacancy cost recovery, or energy data platforms
  • Experience with local benchmarking ordinances or BPS programs
  • Ability to use company-approved GenAI tools to automate routine tasks
  • Accountability for auditing AI outputs for factual accuracy, brand alignment, and hallucination removal
  • Adherence to AI security protocols and protection of proprietary or PII data
  • Ability to craft clear, context-rich prompts
  • CEM, LEED AP, WELL, or GHG accounting credentials/coursework helpful but not required
