Job Description
Product Manager governing Adobe Experience Manager web platforms for Stanford Health Care. Defining requirements, enforcing design-system standards, and optimizing compliant digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Translate institutional and user needs into technically informed product requirements, use cases, workflows, and design specifications
- Align data and product requirements, integration processes, and database architecture with technical teams
- Own the AEM design system, component library, delivery standards, and governance across uniform and tailored work
- Ensure production work follows defined patterns or has intentional, documented exceptions
- Develop, maintain, and evolve AEM governance documentation and component usage guidelines
- Audit web properties for design-system adherence and identify remediation or system-evolution needs
- Communicate AEM capabilities, limitations, constraints, opportunities, tradeoffs, and roadmap priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Lead approvals for design and technical user stories and manage stakeholder expectations, deadlines, and budget
- Embed regulatory, accessibility, privacy, ADA/WCAG, and institutional requirements into pre-production workflows
- Partner with legal, privacy, and compliance teams and integrate accessibility and compliance testing into the product lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end delivery of website features and enhancements through agile development, standups, retrospectives, and planning
- Coordinate with programming and QA teams, answer development questions, monitor progress, resolve problems, and distribute velocity reports
- Recommend communication plans for completed features and build AEM experiences with designers and digital team members
- Identify KPIs, create dashboards and reports, analyze site analytics and user feedback, and recommend optimization
- Plan A/B and multivariate testing and partner on SEO, search, AI, and healthcare-information discoverability improvements
Requirements:
- BA/BS, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Media, or related field required
- Six years of progressive product management or related web/digital platform experience, including end-to-end feature enhancement delivery, required
- Three years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience, including component architecture and design-system governance, required
- Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or environments with strict compliance and accessibility requirements required
- Experience managing or stewarding a design system or component library across multiple teams or stakeholders required
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills
- Ability to gather business and user requirements and document detailed, platform-viable specifications
- Deep understanding of design systems, component-based architecture, governance frameworks, and Adobe AEM
- Understanding of web application and content management system architectures, including AEM templates, components, workflows, and permissions models
- Experience designing simple, intuitive user interfaces and scalable digital experiences
- Knowledge of compliance, data privacy, ADA/WCAG/Section 508 accessibility standards
- Ability to build consensus and collaborate cross-departmentally without direct authority
- Ability to identify dependencies, minimize project risk, and maintain system integrity
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to deadlines
- Advanced HTML and CSS knowledge and understanding of front-end development principles
- Proficiency in traditional and agile product development and project management methodologies such as SCRUM
- Experience with analytics tools for marketing and non-marketing stakeholders
- Understanding of SEO and experience leveraging tools such as BrightEdge
- Experience establishing, documenting, and enforcing governance exception processes across distributed teams
- Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and user-centric design principles
- Preferred: Adobe Experience Cloud, including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Launch
- Preferred: healthcare digital ecosystems, Epic/MyChart integrations, and patient-facing digital experiences
- Preferred: AI-driven personalization and emerging web technologies
- Preferred: governance documentation for large-scale web platforms
