Job Description
Program Manager overseeing energy efficiency programs, budgets, client relationships, and utility initiatives. Supporting program delivery, financial reporting, talent management, and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Manage energy efficiency programs with high-level support from senior leadership
- Oversee all aspects of energy programs and work with clients and energy professionals to achieve energy efficiency goals and program objectives
- Oversee program budgets, team development and engagement, vendor relationships, and client relationships
- Engage in talent management, including interviewing, resource planning, utilization, engagement planning, and performance evaluations
- Provide client communications and reporting
- Oversee program operations to meet client requirements
- Develop and expand client relationships with senior leadership support
- Support partner and client contract management
- Establish relationships with client program teams
- Lead and support company-wide safety efforts
- Coordinate work between centralized functions and program staff
- Identify program issues and seek assistance when needed
- Ensure delivery of program goals in accordance with the Statement of Work
- Develop and manage program production plans
- Monitor and manage program budgets while meeting or exceeding energy goals
- Prepare monthly invoices and activity reports
- Manage one to two individually run utility programs
- Report on program performance and financial metrics
- Develop financial acumen and program strategy skills
- Support Business Development with information for program re-bids, RFPs, and client expansions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in science degree or equivalent required
- 2 or more years of management experience OR 1 or more years of experience managing energy efficiency programs
- Background in engineering, technology, or science and experience working in a technical environment preferred
- Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other installed technologies preferred
- Technical experience developing or reviewing energy savings calculations to determine customer paybacks and incentive levels preferred
- Proven leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize workload and delegate assignments to staff
- Effective verbal and written communication with customers, clients, and employees
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Willingness to travel up to 40%
- PMP certification preferred
