Job Description
Program Manager coordinating cross-functional projects for Pearl’s home-performance rating standard. Managing plans, risks, dependencies, and portfolio execution in a remote-first startup.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans for multiple concurrent projects and programs
- Facilitate planning sessions with cross-functional teams to define tasks, estimates, dependencies, and owners
- Run day-to-day project execution through standups or check-ins, status tracking, risk and issue logs, and action-item follow-through
- Administer communication and project plans via Pearl's instance of Notion
- Identify blockers early and drive them to resolution, escalating issues requiring leadership attention with recommendations
- Maintain accurate and current project documentation, trackers, and status reporting
- Coordinate handoffs and dependencies across departments
- Build lightweight, repeatable project management practices with the Product team and VP of Operations
- Support program-level rollups so leadership has a reliable view of portfolio health
- Translate strategic priorities and committed requirements into detailed project plans
- Actively manage plans, surface risks, adjust sequencing, and keep stakeholders informed
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of project or program management experience
- Demonstrated ownership of multiple concurrent cross-functional projects
- Experience at a startup or small company working directly with delivery teams
- Strong command of work breakdown, dependency mapping, estimation, risk management, and status communication
- Excellent facilitation skills
- High follow-through and attention to detail
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Clear, concise written communication
- Proficiency with Notion, AI tools, and automation capabilities for program management
- Nice to have: PMP, CAPM, or agile certification (or equivalent practical depth)
- Nice to have: Experience in home performance, energy efficiency, climate tech, SaaS, or data products
- Nice to have: Experience introducing or maturing project management practices
- Required to answer application questions about hands-on experience in lieu of a cover letter
